Job Position: Maritime Analyst

Summit Brand Protection is seeking qualified individuals to assist clients improve their maritime domain awareness (MDA) with a focus on identifying potential risk, enabling them to make better informed decisions and take appropriate action. Qualified personnel will be trained on an Intelligence System which provides data-driven risk insights based on actual ship operations. As a maritime analyst, you’ll help the client understand their operational landscape and mission environment. You will validate information and apply tradecraft to build assessments for the client. As the authority for this MDA problem set, the client will look to you for time critical recommendations. Maritime Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Perform data exploitation, improve client’s understanding of counter-threat capabilities and TTPs, and develop best practices to improve Maritime Domain Awareness for client and stakeholders.
  • Attend technical exchange meetings to provide insight, coordination, and collaboration as needed.
  • Conduct inter-agency maritime fusion analysis through the use of Artificial Intelligence and the Windward Intelligence System as it relates to the client’s mission, including vessel target development.
  • Conduct analysis to enhance the maritime intelligence picture and conduct analysis on real-world suspect vessels of interest through standardized intelligence tools.
  • Generate weekly maritime Vessels of Interest lists
  • Assist with maintenance of MDA standing operating procedures, guides, checklists, concept of operations (CONOPs) and other documentation required to improve and professionalize MDA capabilities.
  • Participate in and document After-Action Reports, lessons learned, and observations from operational events conducted.

Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and a minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience performing Maritime Domain Analysis support activities, to include specific skills in performing maritime domain analysis on specialized maritime tracking systems and database tools.
  • Have a basic understanding of the maritime environment and maritime law
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and other programs in order to generate reports
  • Experience working in a military, law enforcement, or classified environment
